During the 90s and into the new century, the Strugglers have
maintained a steady regime of performances in Wellington (appearing
periodically at the Bristol, home of the Capital Blues Society,
and Bar Bodega, where the Strugglers were the sole blues
oriented act featured at the otherwise alternative venue)
with brief sorties to other parts of the country. They have
been featured guests at New Zealand's major folk festival
in Wellington and at the Auckland festival at Kumeu, appeared
twice at the Hamilton Blues Festival, and were among the many
not paid for performing at the ill-fated Sweetwaters festival
in 1999 (at which, however, a good time was had by all). A
much enjoyed past event in the Strugglers calendar has been
their annual appearance at the Voss vineyard during the Toast
Martinborough wine festival in the Wairarapa region north
of Wellington.
